The Northern Powerhouse Employment and Skills Summit 2019

The Northern Powerhouse Employment and Skills Summit 2019 will provide a high-level forum for employers, political and business leaders, employment, education and skills providers to come together and unite behind a shared vision for Northern prosperity, growth and opportunities. It will look at the skills and jobs needed by tomorrow’s generation to drive growth, harness innovation, improve life chances and achieve social mobility across the Northern Powerhouse.

The Northern Powerhouse Employment and Skills Summit 2019 follows on from the very successful Northern Powerhouse Education and Skills Conference in 2018 and will provide an opportunity to join-up thinking on how to achieve pan-Northern prosperity. It will look at the opportunities for the North to do things differently and lead the way in a global economy. It will also examine how devolved powers, Metro Mayoral ambitions and local industrial strategies are helping to drive the jobs and skills agenda in the Northern Powerhouse.

We anticipate the Northern Powerhouse Employment and Skills Summit 2019 will bring together the key players in the North to collaborate and build consensus on how to bridge the productivity gap and deliver world-class skills and jobs opportunities. The AMRC 2050 Factory in Sheffield provides an excellent venue to showcase innovation and the North’s potential.
